Re-release includes PC-exclusive No Mercy mode.

Resident Evil 5 will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 28, Capcom announced. 

The new generation versions are rendered in 1080p at an increased frame rate, and includes all of the previously released downloadable content (“Lost in Nightmares” and “Desperate Escape” story expansions, “Versus” mode, extra figures, and four costumes), and the previously PC-exclusive “No Mercy” mode, as well as a new mode called “The Mercenaries Unlimited,” which combines “The Mercenaries” and “The Mercenaries Reunion” modes.

I know it won't happen, but I'd love if they added more costumes for Chris and Sheva.

I havent played it but i might give it a go if its really that good to be considered best game of last gen. I only had a wii last gen but i did finish the last of us on the ps4 and that to me is the best game of last gen

I remember I popped this in last gen, pretty excited for it too, my first RE game, I played for like 15 minutes, couldn't move while shooting.. seriously.. what an overrated piece of trash.. closed it and never thought about trying it again

Man, Capcom is really running that well dry. Remasters for the REmake, Zero, 6, and now 2 and 5 on the way.

Anyway, for those interested in playing RE5, I would certainly recommend doing so with a friend. It's one of the better co-op experiences from last gen. If you're an RE purist, you might be turned off by the focus on action and absence of horror, but as a third person shooter RE5 is a lot of fun.
