Forums - Nintendo Discussion - NX is a streaming service powered by AMD(Rumor)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xlugPJ8svY

For those that don't want to watch the 26 minute video here is a summery.

So the guy that made this leake has had some credability in the past. He leaked info about Miitomo and how the app works 8 days before it released. He also leaked a few eshop games before they launched last year.

Now for what he actually leaked.

  • Nobody but Nintendo knows about the name and price of the NX.
  • He might not right so he wants us to take it with a grain of salt.
  • NX will be ARM based.
  • NX will be a suscription program. Games will be streamed.
  • NX network will be powered by AMD.
  • An SCD  that will be x86 based could out 1-2 years after the NX launches.
  • When the NX is announced Nintendo will claim its 4K, powerful, cheap, lots of 3rd party support.
  • NX was the 3ds browser codename. Nintendo developed on this for the eshop, and the NNID system

Input lag is fantastic for platformers!
I look forwards to subpair gameing via "streaming service" in the near future.

Also he keeps saying that the NX is a platform, because its browser driven game streaming, so all the older stuff will be able to run it.

Hasnt Nintendo already come out and said that NX is a new (home) console?

I've been seeing an increasing number of rumors about this recently......

I hope that people have the option of either buying the games and playing them natively on a new console, or streaming them to any device with high enough specs to stream them. The internet quality in my area just isn't good enough for game streaming yet, I need games that can be played natively.

Even if you have the worlds fastest internet speeds, it will still suck (if your far away from the server thats doing the rendering).

Why? Input lag.

With a home console, you press a button on your controller, the signal doesnt need to travel that far (generally your console is close to you).

With a Streaming server, the button press of your controller, that signal needs to travel half ways around the world (maybe) and will result in much much higher input lag.

Streaming service for gameing will always be a worse experiance, than owning physical hardware yourself.

Well, my internet is not good enough for that, so I sure as hell won't get one if true.

i doubt it, that would essentially make My Nintendo irrelevent.

What a load of hooplah.

My Nintendo discounts any hope of NX streaming anything on a primary basis. How has no one thought of this?

EDIT: No suprise who ninja'd me.

"He might not right so he wants us to take it with a grain of salt."

Sooooo he doesn't want us to take this 100% right?
Did you hear that guys!

This, I mean my internet isn't that good I live in a small town in Iowa out in the country I get lag on halo all the time and they expect me to stream games XDD

I wouldn't be surprised if there's still an option to buy and own the game digitally and physically so My Nintendo would probably be useful if this is true.

it could have a streaming service, but it's not going to be just a streaming device.
