I haven't played yet myself, I'm waiting to get it on my PC. I'm thinking of buying this game for my cousins to make them see there are more games around than FIFA and CoD. Plus, it's very cheap, and that always helps. |
Buy them Ratchet & Clank :-3 (if they have a PS4)

Maybe when it goes down in price. I bought them Tearaway PS4 and they looked at me with a guilty face that screamed "This is not CoD, but we have to thank you anyway because dad is watching" XD

It's only slightly more pricey than VCR though :-3
And also, Tearaway is decidedly less accessible than R&C (and other "Non-CoD and Fifa" games), so personally I think that was a bad choice to go with for expanding their horizons. No offense

Wait, if they're allowed to play Call of Duty, what are they not allowed to play? Those games are pretty violent.

They are not, and their parents won't buy those, that is why they want someone else to buy it for them.

If all they play is COD then this isn't exactly the kind of gameplay they'd take to since it requires the use of a different faculty of your brain than COD, which is more based around hand eye coordination. I don't think they'd appreciate the deep story political conflict this story presents either. But at the same time I think you should do the part of a good older family member by giving them a game that would challenge their mental abilities as a strategy game (it can be challenging but not overly difficult which is good) and make them appreciate the variety of experiences outside of your typical shooters gaming can bring. And who knows, they might end up liking it.
I asked them to make HD remasters of VC 2 and 3 for the PS4.
