And we are discussing two hallmark games... it isn't the case that GT5 have done poorly.. you just want to measure the one that stand taller.

And I never said they do poorly or suggesting anything like that.

My first post on the matter included this "PD do fine, but they can do better."

Any company or person can do better so I don't see the point of your comment them... how do you propose they up their game?? their franchise is the biggest on the genre and besides the mk every other pales to sale even 1/3 of its numbers

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

All I am saying is they should use their budget more wisely or get more Sony marketing. The racing genre needs a revival imo, and with proper marketing it can happen with GT.

I would need the source for those budget claims (but I can see a game with license payment for 1k models and several RW locations could become quite high), and GT on PS3 vs UC sales numbers are quite close (with both having their budgets of one game helping the next become cheaper).

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/uncharted-sequel-costing-usd-20-million

Uncharted 1: $20m

Uncharted 2:  $20m

http://www.cinemablend.com/games/GTA-5-Cost-265-Million-Develop-Market-58922.html

Uncharted 3: $25m

It's ~21m for Uncharted 1-3 vs ~11m for GT5.

Still missing your point... they are doing plenty well... and different genres and scopes have a diffent budget and public. without better data we can't say your supposed objective is achievable.

Okay, then we need the budget for GT5P. The point in comparing them was to compare budgets and sales.

Could also add GT6 and TLOU, but we need the budgets for valid comparisons.

Logic that all games have their own budget? I guess this proves you have no source.
