Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo's E3 2015 announcements and their metascore

How bad was Nintendo's E3 2015

Bad 29 22.48%

Really Bad 28 21.71%

Terrible 72 55.81%

Total:129

So, it seems like almost every new game announced by Nintendo at E3 2015 went under our expectations. Here is the list of all game announcements and their respective metascore.

Star Fox Zero: 69/100 (second lowest metascore of every StarFox titles)

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash 58/100 (worst metascore in the Mario Tennis saga)

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival 46/100 (worst metascore in the series)

Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam Bros 76/100 (worst metascore in the series)

Zelda: Triforce Heroes 73/100 (worst metascore in a 30 year-old franchise)

Hyrule Warriors: Legends 70/100 (lower metascore than the original version)

NOTE: Metroid Prime: Federation Force yet to be released

Slowly losing faith in Nintendo. 2015 was terrible and 2016 is yet another finger in our ass by delaying Zeruda. They are insulting fans with Federation force, Color Splash, SF Zero and amiibo Festival. NX has to blow me away to buy it at release.

When a console fails, OBVIOUSLY you won't expect it to do well in the end...

Would've wished for better games, but Nintendo's a company. Amiibo's are saving their ass. If the NX does well, then we won't have to worry about such insults.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

really, 2015 Nintendo E3 was terrible

and it seems like 2016 won't even exist

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Every time I read an argument based on a metascore a brain cell dies. But I agree, Nintendo's 2015 was definetly poor.

Shouldn't have expected much honestly. Nintendo seems to be diverting their efforts else where these days. However I will say that Tri Force Heroes, Home Designer and Paper Jam just got swept up in the negativity of the 2015 Direct. They were just different than the norm (hell basically being spin-offs).

The Wii U ones I feel as are okay and Hyrule Warriors isn't that surprising being lower than the original given that it's not as good looking.

Will still be better than their E3 2016.

not basically, they are spinoffs

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

There once was a time when Wii U had no gamez. Everybody died. The end.

I'm expecting much better output on the NX. Considering the delay of the next Zelda, I feel Nintendo just wants to bail out on the WiiU and 3ds is likely nearing its own retirement.
