I qualify a 10 as a masterpiece, not as flawless because I believe giving a 10 only for flawless games mean that the metric would infact never be used. I also dont do 9.5's or such. A 9 to me is incredible. This game is more to me.

The gameplay is more than incredible? What does this do that many other games fail to do?

I don't get that logic. Why should you base the success and quality of one aspect of a game to others to be able to appreciate it? Must a person hate the sweet  taste of an orange to appreciate the sweetness of an apple?

I can't trust your review after you told me Uncharted 3 was awesome, Aldro!

Thats what I think people do with this game. Review it in a bubble. Like there has never been another game before it.

No they don't...How would you even quantify that?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

im up to chapter 15 now im playing on crushing with aim assist was a bitch w/o it im gonna have to one day complete it on crushing w/o aim assist

the game is great probably the best uncharted out of the 4 (i like DF more out of last gens trilogy) 4 feels alot like DF in that there are very few big movie like set pieces, i found so far that there are plenty of combat areas maybe b/c im on crushing

it also feels more mature and that i can actually bare the cut scenes and story, 2 and 3 felt like satarday morning cartoons to me i also like the platforming there is alot more of it and in a bigger scale

the only thing that i dont like is that this maybe the very last uncharted game.. i really hope not though also there is no grenade throw back like in DD, the controls gun combat can feel a little wonky, dated, laggy

im not done with it yet though still got 7 more chapters and then MP but i feel id give it a solid 9 neck and neck with tlou so far but tlou might edge it out b/c of the freshness it deliver at the time of release almost 3 yrs ago

The game does nothing new. Its Uncharted 3 with better graphics and a few new moves already seen in other games.

Okay, see, you're getting into another topic all together. Your initial comment sounds like a critique of how people have been reviewing the game. Now, it's just that you don't agree with their opinion on it.

Though they seem similar enough, it's not really possible to have both of those conversations at once.

Well that was not a part of the previous conversation we had. This was about having other games to compare to.

Anytime someone reviews any game they review it from their own perspective. That perspective is going to include their experiences with other games.

You litterally couldn't review a game in a vacum if you've ever played another game.

Someone reviewing Uncharted 4 could have only ever played Tetris before, and they would be subconsciously comparing it to Tetris.

It's not possible.

Thats why I asked him what this game does right when it comes to gameplay that many other games dont. If I asked someone to give me an example of a game with excellent gameplay and they answered Uncharted 4, then I would ask them whats so great about it as well.
