Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Aonuma about Zelda and it seems that Zelda will have strong Sheikah focus

I never said that isnt possible, but thats hardly the case. Not to mention that a fan-made wiki dosent make for a strong argument in the first case. And as Wyrd has already said, there is the example of Persona 4, not to mention that many games and animes has already done this before. And there is a reason plotwise for Zelda to try to hide her gender:She is hiding from Ganondorf.Making her SEEM male makes it a better false identity. It all points to just being a good disguise, instead of gender-bending

Fan-wiki just recolects everything with sources, they just don't post fandom stuff without any source at all. Everything they stated can be constated by playing OoT, reading the guide or reading the manga.

And sure, a lot of games have done that; but at the same time, gender-bending is also utilized in many games and animes (Disgaea, BlazBlue, Darkstalkers...). And then again, is she's trying to hide her gender, actually SWAPPING genders makes for a better false identity than any disguise could ever hope. It actually points to gender-bending, you see.

And im suuuure that fan-wiki dont just reference the material they believe is correct and leave aside the ones that are not convenient. If we already have that problem with professionals, imagine with fans and their petty wars.

Yeah, but the difference if its actually possible. There is transformation in Zelda, but never once we saw someone having its gender swapped. And for being a better cover, Zelda would be better off hidden somewhere, not running around and fighting. In that sense, it would be better than if Sheik were a random guy, than Zelda atb all.So no, gender-swapping is not likely, and probably the less likely one.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Null and void points because one Sheik is a disguise Ruto thinking it's a male as well as the speaking and all is the whole point and two the guide is done so to avoid spoilers. Sheik is also not that physically different from Zelda either indicating it's down to attire, the magic was used to darken skin tone slightly but lets not get to far into that as by the way speculation is going now days people will be claiming Zelda turned into a Latin or black person at this rate.

It's only null and void when doesn't fit the disguise version, right?

But sure, the darker skin tone, the different hair color, different eyes, withder shoulders...yeah, "disguise".

You just proved my point even more now by posting those images.

You have your theory, I have mine.

Elaborate, please. Otherwise I'll take this as "I don't know how to refute this and I'll simply make it as my point" kind of thing.

That I can agree with

Actually that their holds some water, remember back then when Aonuma said: "nobody specifically said that is a Link (maile)", maybe he just tease us!?

Aonuma confirmed that to be a joke btw, the rumour was actually the's a playable female so it doesn't really mean Link.

Yes, but why on first place saying "No one explicitly said that that was Link",he only said he joking after fans become complaining because they want Link. Its most likely that of first place he tease something.

Definatly seems like Link will is part of Sheikah tribe.

I expecting GameXplain will make 15 min video about that new logo. :)

Just wait until the analysis machine breaks trying to analize the 24 hours of gameplay from E3...

True, but then we will have tons of infos so it won't be sent to analyze every detail of all that.

Well Aonuma reffers to Shiek as a she.

Fair enough there, although Sheik and Zelda are physically different.

Oh certainly. Zelda is changing her gender when she becomes Shiek but not her sex.

Emotes don't give your argument any more ground btw and make it look like a desperate attempt to look good by the way, you also have not responded to my points highlighting a lack of rebuttal on your side. The physical differences are minor and likely due to the different attire, Sheik wears masculine attire that not only is designed for more field centric tasks but also some slight combat so would be bulkier for some protection, using magic to change her skin, hair and eye colour fits exactly with what I've been saying that it's a use of magic and male attire.

Even look at the body, Sheik and Zelda both share the same slight hourglass like attribute, only difference is a slight height difference for Zelda which is likely due to wearing heels that she doesn't wear as Sheik.
