The trackpad-

For some reason, every good laptop for Windows has the most PATHETIC trackpad I've ever seen- I mean, I don't want to nitpick, but trackpads are important to a laptop.

Not going to complain, Macs and Window machines are good. No point in debating, each have their main audience- macs for students and whatnot, Microsoft for practically everything.

I just find it weird that every windows laptop I've ever seen always had a terrible trackpad.

Both OSX and Windows are comfortable to use though- one thing I love about OSX though is that it's extremely optimized- my slightly-outdated 1.5 GHz macbook does perfectly fine.

My hope for a windows laptop with a good trackpad is still alive though. .-.

Dell's newest XPS laptop has been getting excellent reviews. The trackpad sounds like one of the best you can get with Windows drivers.

I concur. Mac trackpads are amazing. But for Windows? Dell has some good ones. Heck, this $250 Lenovo is pretty good with multi-gesture and what not.

a thinkpad is better anyways

All my windows laptops have had a great trackpad.

That is the only way I buy a laptop, i skip over the shit ones.

Also turn the sensitivity f it up in windows lol makes it much better.

I have the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Spin and it has a fantastic trackpad. It's probably the closest windows laptop as far as build quality to a Macbook. The only downside to it is that battery life is only ~6 hours.

My old XPS has an outstanding track pad.

Your not the only one to think so.
I believe part of the reason is simply the macs use better trackpad hardware, than most windows sold laptops.
Not sure why else it would be better.

Just buy one of those small mini mouses ment for laptops and never again worry about the trackpad though.

Depends on the maker not the OS.

Lenovo, Sony, Toshiba, HP, Dell, Acer, Samsung

Just goes to show you how badly Mac's getting pounded by Windows, that we're talking about track pad supremacy lol.
