Forums - Sony Discussion - The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition - PS4 for Under $25.00

JRPG fans get The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition - PlayStation 4  for under $25 while you can:

I almost bought the PS3 version until I heard about the PS4 Revival Edition.  I pre-ordered it for $40.  Received it in the mail recently and contentwise was worth the $40.  But for now on Amazon, you can get this for under $25.  Maybe I should have waited.  Oh, well.  Get it at this price while you can.

Sell us the game, why you think it is good great? Honestly don't know much about this game, I am interested in it but I bought so many games that I gave up after a few hours.

Well, I do not have a PS4 yet so I haven't played the game.   Since I am a fan of JRPGs, it was something I was willing to take a shot at especially since I like soundtracks and artbooks that come with games.  So in essence, I'm speaking more from a collector's point of view.  Not being able to personally comment on the gameplay, reaction is mixed.  The most common point I've come across is that the PS4 is the better version over the PS3, but then again it seems the PS3 version did worse than the PS4 version anyway.  But I'm taking a chance on it, and anyone else who is interested is better off risking $25 instead of the $40 like I did.

Nope wouldn't suggest it. I got it - fairly horrible.

The extra content for the ps4 (the tower) is pretty great but you have to beat the chapters to keep going.

The main villain is just not interesting. The dialogue is not funny or interesting. It is like it was written by a small child - and is nothing like the humor that is typical of a NISA game.

I think you're being incredibly harsh on it. It's has similarities to Diablo and has a lot of different mechanics about that make it seem fairly unique.

Here's a review from Digitally Downloaded from somebody who play a lot of JRPGs.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Yeah it's not really a good game at all...

I really wanted to enjoy it, but it just frustrating, many of the mechanics just become grating after a while. Combat is just mashing the button, and the timers just become a hindrance.
