I guess it will be a problem to many people, especially the ones who bought a PS4 to have "bregging rights" of owning the most powerful console this generation, regardless how silly this reason actually is.

If it's just a 4k upscaler, not a big deal to me. I won't be switching out my current PS4, for a new one.

yea some games with frame drops could see improved performance in places, but the games won't outperform the limitations the devs have set (like 30fps or sub 1080p res etc) without a patch

frame pacing in Bloodborne for example won't improve either as that's a quirk of the engine itself
