Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Star Fox Zero previewers have been negative on the controls

I dont see anything "very negative on the controls" in those previews.

Yeah, me neither. And in general terms, previews are good. Talking about control scheme, I'd say it's a "hit and miss" reaction, definitely not "very negative".

Unusal controls always need some time to get used to. I'm sure it won't be all that difficult to get them working, just like with Splatoon.

I've just read a Spanish review which said about the controls: "Once you get the controls, you'll never want to play a similar game with two analogic sticks".

Hit and miss it is. I'm guess I'll get used to them quickly because I've played Splatoon 100 hours so I'm very confident with gyro. I'll have a hard time with All Range mode, I guess, but in the normal levels you barely have to see the second screen.

Basicly, every preview I've seen, has said something negative about the control, heres the ones I've read/watched so far.

Your thread title is click-baity. 'Mixed' would be a more correct descriptor. I've read/watched these same previews, and all of the previewers adapted in some way and ended up enjoying the game regardless.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I agree, this could be applied to pretty much every game, since all the reviews have something negative to say about them lol.

Funny because almost every preview I've read say that the controls are good once you've got used to them.

Soapbox: No, Star Fox Zero's Controls Are not Bad or Broken

Why are you lying? I mean, yes, part of the press has shown some concern for the strange control scheme and I expect some low reviews form critics with no patience to master it, but the reaction has not been "very negative" at all.

Gamexplain preview is mostly positive and IGN says they are very pleased with the game, because once the controls click you can do awesome things. Most previews talk about controls that need time to get used to but become second nature for the most part once they click.

And also there has never been a star fox that was only 2 hours long, you are getting that out of nowhere.

Very clickbait thread.

Sorry, Doble post.

Maybe he's refering to beating the game once. Which, to be honest, Star Fox was never about beating it once lol. I asume that you'll get grasp of the controls on the first playthrough. Then, once you know how to use them, the replayability factor comes into play with more hard bosses, alternate paths and medal collecting. I think that's the main idea. Which I think it's great, and logical.
