Yes! there was also a rumor I believe who said that Nintendo NX would be usable with different kind of devices like other consoles like (PS4/XB1)? This is also a reason why I thinks it's true. It seems like they meant Smartphones and Tablets with that ;)

Then it must be false indeed. Nintendo is too close to McDonalds, their 3rd party support usually is what keeps Nintendo consoles alive.
