One time I watched an owl cam for like a month. Saw those little monsters grow all the way up. Awesome stuff.

That's neat!  We really don't get any Owls around my house, which is a bummer.  I think I've actually only seen one in the wild, ever.  Though I've heard them often enough.

One of the most awe-inspiring things I've ever seen in person happened when I was riding my bike on some farming trails through the deep woods.  A HUGE owl suddenly appeared on my right and glided along beside me for a few seconds.  After he turned and flew into the forest, I just stopped and stared after him.  It was that amazing.

The only time I can recall seeing one in the wild, was, I was standing outside smoking a cigarette with my brother talking (we lived next to a forest) and we were just shooting the shit, and improbably an Owl basically flew directly in my direction in the forest and landed on a tree some ~100 or so feet away from us.  I pointed it out to him, he'd been facing me with his back to the Owl.   We had to halve the distance to the Owl in order for him to make it out against the tree.  It was pretty cool.  Awesome creatures.
