Don't know about the figure given but 64k in the US is solid, not great but ahead of what a lot of the most recent entries done. It'd probably mean a western openning of around 100k for feb, depending on the legs it can go on to be the biggest entry in the series since the year 2000. With Digital included its almost a given that it'll beat the 330k total of Digimon World: Dusk/Dawn  (2007)

Personally for what the game is I'd say that's pretty good. There weren't that many in stock at launch either so I'm sure Bandai wasn't expecting the sales to be high.

Well, NA Bamco was satisfied with the results that they made a video to thank the fans. We won't know how Digimon did digitally until Bamco breaks down the numbers like they did with SAO: Lost Song. However, it ranked #1 on the Vita PSN store (and #19 on the PS4 PSN store).

Remember, this game wouldn't have been localized without a petition and the fans actually backed up their talk. The amount of physical retail sales in the US equals the number of signatures in the Change.org petition. If you want to know how Digimon fared against other PS4 JRPG exclusives, it did way better than Disgaea 5 (26K) and Dragon Quest Heroes (31K). It also did better than Tales of Zestiria (58K).

Considering it's been a long time since the Digimon World games on the PS, I'd say those numbers are great. Also, this will have legs, specially if Namco-Bandai keeps pushing the Digimon brand in the West.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

VGC tracked 160k in japan, where the game had stronger marketing and the IP has a regular flow of games. If it was as successful in europe and the digital sales were decent, it means as much sales in the west as in japan, which would be pretty good.

very interesting, thank you = )

okay.. the sales figures in US are official then = )

Well, considering you are questioning Creamsugar's numbers, you might not be familiar with Cream. lol

Anyway, 65k signed petitions, and 64k sold in 1 month in the US. Factor in the numbers from VGC(except Japan) and you have over 100k. Then you add the numbers from digital(#1 on Vita and #20 on PS4). That's great for what the game is considering the state Digimon is in now.

Hoping this leads to more "Story" games catering the same fans again with a story on par or better than CS.

No physical on Vita and I think a limited physical run on PS4 in the US. So I suspect it's done pretty well overall on both platforms. Though obviously #1 on PSN for Vita means very little when we don't know what monthly sales are generally like digitally on it.
