Will Zelda U port like launch title help NX?

Off Course that will help. 114 88.37%

It will not help NX at all. 15 11.63%

Total:129

Having a Zelda game on launch would help immensely for sure.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It will help more than people think, but less than Nintendo needs. That's not vague at all, isn't it. XD

You know it deserves the GOTY.

What kinda question is that even?

Mario and zelda are without a doubt the main reason the vast majority of people buy a nintendo console.
Are you seriously asking if it haveing zelda as a launch title will help it? How the f*** could it not?

Look at the Wii U and its launch titles,.... pretty sure that is one of the reasons it sold so poorly.
Nintendo need a 3D platformer Mario & zelda ready for every console launch they do.

Well there a some people who think that Zelda U like launch title on NX will not help much...buy I personally curious to see how much exactly people think Zelda U will help NX and what kind of number they expecting.

I think it ll have a big effect.

"Twilight Princess is the best-selling entry in the Zelda series. During its first week, the game was sold with three of every four Wii purchases." - Wiki.

A good Zelda game at launch, will help move hardware.

Duh. Zelda is a franchise that people will buy a system for. The Wii U doesn't have an original Zelda title, so there are still probably big Zelda fans who don't own the console. So of course it will help.

As for how much, it depends. If Nintendo really goes all out, and makes a game that uses the hardware features and presumably stronger graphics, then it could be huge. If not, it will still be failry big.

well people that would buy a system just for zelda would most likely also got a wii u to replay windwaker HD, play Hyrule warriors and the new zelda u game as well (NX wasnt even talked about as wwhd and hyrule warriors got released).

Im pretty sure zelda u on nx wont move many consoles at all. On a ps4 you will get Horizon Zero Dawn, Final Fanatsy 15, Kingdom hearts 2.8, Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank, No mans Sky, Mass Effect Andromeda, VR + games, Mirrors Edge Catalyst, Dark Souls III, The Devision, Doom, Hitman, Mafia III, Kingdom Come, Street Fighter V, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, the Last Guardian, Overwatch, For Honor, Persona 5, Gran Turismo Sport, Detroid, Dishonored 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, new Fifa, madden and co, Nier, and even more all this year. I dont see anybody thats not a die hard zelda fan would choose zelda above all those games. And die hard zelda fans probl already own a wii u, like i already mentioned.

Windwaker is a remake.  Hyule Warriors is a spin off that does not even have vaguely similar gameplay..  The New Zelda game isn't out yet.

When Shenmue 3 is released for PS4, I will buy one (unless I have a computer that can run it).  But would I buy a PS4 for Shenmue HD collection and Ryo's Forklift Adventure?  Fuck no. Remakes and spinoffs are not the same thing as an actual new mainline release.  To suggest that Windwaker has as much selling power as a new game is stupid.

As for the rest of your post, it's completely irrelevant.  We do not know what features the NX has, what games it will have, what support it will have from third parties and so on.  Of course, the PS4 and it's lineup are going to look a lot better than something that doesn't exist yet -_-;:.  Plus, it's not as though the machine will play Zelda and nothing else.  Plus plus, it's not like PS4 owners cannot buy another console.

Launch it with the port and a game like Wii Sports and you're golden, as long as the system is a reasonable price.

This sounds familiar...

Apparently launching with Zelda does more favors than launching with New Super Mario Bros...

And I can't imagine Nintendo Land 2 would do the trick...

Hopefully Nintendo has learned their lesson after two terrible launches...

Have a nice day...

Not entirely sure how much it will help. If Zelda is going to make a person buy a console for it, odds are they are Nintendo fans who would have bought the console anyways. It will help software numbers, hardware wise though? If so not much.

those people most likely already own a wii u or would get a wii u to play zelda as well.

So it might cuts off some wii u sales for this holiday season and shift them over to the nx, thats it.
