Will 2016 level off the decline and will growth return on 2017 onwards or is the decline going to continue. | It could be much worse, Nintendo could actually lose money, but despite terrible sales they making solid profit, even with slashed forecast it will be solid profit for Nintendo.

!!!!!!!!!Exactly!!!!!!!!!
Soundwave's post is overdramatic( not even the nintendo heads who are running this buisness and relying on it, wouldn't be so overemotional) and probably vindictive because nintendo, hasn't satisfied his desires buisness-wise so far, I hope nx will do that, so soundwave cools down. ( I wasn't really expecting someone to take it so seriously)
Let me add to your comment, that if 3ds and wii u were successors of gc and gba we wouldn't have such exaggerating comments. if you know what I mean.
As for the comment about software by soundwave, the only drawback is no third party support of wii u and a deficient one on 3ds, so almost no royalties by third parties, because nintendo's software is doing extremely well regardless hardware sales, I mean 7.24m mario kart 8 on 12.6m wii u threatening super mario kart 8.76m on 50m installbase, or pokemon xy 15m near diamond/pearl 18m on the almighty giant, ds.
