Forums - Gaming Discussion - 2016 actually looks good for Wii U games.

Twilight Princess did not impress me at first but now I am actually excited to play it again. And Pokken has been getting really promising previews so I actually want that game  despite the fact that I have always thought pokemon was stupid. And I expect to be excited for starfox once they show it again which comes out in like 2 months which is crazy. 3 good titles coming out so close to each other I did not expect this. Perhaps things are not as bad for the Wii U as I thought.

well i'm convinced.

Definetiley getting Twilight Princess and yeah, I may be in the minority here but I'm really liking what we've seen about Star Fox.

Looks good for now. But Nintendo needs to announce more games for the end of the year and some games for 2017. NX is most likely a 2017 thing, so they need to fill the gap until that system arrives.

It's line up this year looks pretty similar on paper to its other years?

First half of 2016 how many new games are there? Pokken and star Fox. Am I missing anything?

Provided you had low expectations the Wii U's library has been solid every year

What stage of Kübler-Ross is this?

Well, at the end of the WiiU life cycle I'll have like 25 retail games which I probably will like (I like everything I bought until now), plus some digital and VC games. And that's probably the higher number of games I've bought for any console, ever. So I'm really happy about it, despite all its flaws. It always depends on your expectations, your willingness and money to buy games and the quality of those games. I fell really fullfilled, even with the droughts. Honestly, if the rythm of game releases happened to be faster, I wouldn't be capable of buying everything xDDDD.

Well yeah, TP:HD, Pokken, and Star Fox Zero all releasing within about 2 months is good, but the problem is, what's after that? Once we get to May 1, what do I have to look forward to until Zelda Wii U inevitably releases in November? I know Genei Ibun Roku #FE is coming at some point, but other than that, we've got nothing announced so far, and that's the problem with the Wii U's 2016 lineup.

I will literally jizz my pants if they announce Paper Mario Wii U, though. Besides that 2016 is looking to be all right, yeah.
