I don't know how likely it is, but I personally hope the NX supports VR. I've been dreaming of a VR Zelda ever since I first tried out the Oculus Rift.

Best to just add it as an optional accessory. First wait and see how the current crop does and then maybe partner with a company later down the road.

If Nintendo has no interest in making VR games, not really. First try and turn the NX into a commercial success, then start to chase VR.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Should the Nintendo NX have VR support? Nope, Nintendo is already having difficulty getting 3rd party support. VR is still a very expensive technology thus far, aimed at niche market.

I think VR will bomb hard this year, but if it catches then shure, just make shure to know that the thing is appealing and sells well before releasing your ouwn VR headset, also try to make NX bundles with and without VR headsets...

I'd rather them not

I'm interested in trying VR even tho I don't think I'll be a fan. Even if I do end up liking it tho, I'd still say no. I already have a PS4 & would be happier if the NX gave a different experience.

VR would not be a good fit for Nintendo. A large portion of their fanbase is young children. Many parents were worried about the 3DS causing their kids to go blind or something. How do you think they'll feel about their kids sticking a TV in front of their eyeballs?

Nintendo has also focused on local multiplayer, which is largely negated by VR. They also have usually tried to offer inexpensive products, which goes against VR.

VR could possibly be a big deal in 5, or more likely, 10+ years, but there is no need for Nintendo to jump on that now. Nintendo should, as they often do, wait for the technology to be cheaper and more accessible before jumping in.

Well, Nintendo have stated that with the NX they are hoping to achieve a new concept, and since VR has established itself in the last few years, i doubt it.

I'd rather Nintendo invest in something like the hololens in the future when it's affordable because it goes more in line with their concept of bringing people together with games.

I'd rather Nintendo just focus on some solid software. VR seems too expensive to give a shot as of this post, might even end up yet another gimmick.
