shitty? yeah probably but don't blame sony blame the system. taylor swift recently trademarked "This Sick Beat," ,"Cause We Never Go Out of Style," "Could Show You Incredible Things" and "Nice to Meet You, Where You Been?". i suppose she'll get fewer grips though. yummy. |
Oh, there's plenty of blame to go around. It would be Sony's fault for being a scummy corporation, and the system's fault for allowing scummy corporations like Sony to trademark dumb ass shit.
As for Taylor Swift... well, that's also kind of scummy, but it's kind of apples snd oranges.(i presume those trademarks are for song titles/albums only?) The difference is that VRPG will be common use in a few years. It would be like if Taylor Swift was one of the first pop musicians and she decided to trademark "pop" as a genre.
Actually, no, ît's even worse than that, because RPG on it's own is already an existing genre, and VRPG would just be an extension of that. It's more like trademarking Heavy Metal, or Power Metal, or any other extension of Metal. BS is what it is!
That said, I really don't think Sony's VRPG stands for Virtual role-playing game. That would just be sad. Almost as sad as them trying to trademark Let's Play......
