Goku is arguably the biggest Anime character of all time. But he wasn't a game character. That's why he didn't make it.

I'm surprised they won't release the actual stats of the Ballot. I want to see where demand is, to get an idea of where they could go for Smash 5 in 2017.

I'm guessing that's why they aren't showing the full results, to have some surprises for the inevitable Smash 5. Sucks since I wanted to see just how well joke picks like Shrek did. :L

Who knows, maybe Sakurai will release the results like he did with the Melee poll, or keep it secret and show that Bayonetta was highly requested, like when he revealed that Sonic was highly requested late in Brawl's development, which partly was the reason why the game was delayed by a few months. Since Bayonetta was considered realizable, maybe characters like Banjo and Snake just had a few loop holes that Sakurai and Nintendo were not willing to go through. As for characters like King K. Rool, Wolf, Isaac, etc., I don't know where they placed in the ballot from all regions.

I read somewhere, I dont remember where that Sakurai needs about a year to make a character (I guess based off Mewtwos dev time or something) which meant the characters voted for at the beginning of the ballot would have the biggest impact on the poll. Bayo 2 was pretty shiny new when the ballot was announced and in talks for GOTY 2014...
