Cheers dude! Its nothing ground breaking but its starting point for me, I come from a media background so all I really knew before was how to do art/3D. Would like to move to console development eventually and make some monster training RPGs ^_^

I'm literally in the same boat you are. I'm currently doing 3D art and would like to at least know my way around game developing. Even though it isn't actual hard coding. How long did it take you to understand the blueprint system?

It took a few days of solid work to really get a grip of the basic and be able to operate it decently without having to reference a tutorial or forum every 5 minutes, so not that long. Its really deep though, so theres a lot of stuff I didn't pick up til months down the line, but in terms of getting started its not too much of a hurdle.
