Woah, PS4 only console over 100k? Not a good week.

At least the next week should be good, that's FIFA week right?

Well, theres no new release from the 3DS, and the Vita. Theres is one for the Wii U, but i think the only time it will sell 100K+ is during The holiday season.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Maybe in 2016 we can make the infamous no week under '180k' prediction?

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Nice work with all the updates!

Getting a lot closer in catching up

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Around the Network

We're finally hitting weeks with some interesting software numbers. I'm guessing Until Dawn should hit 1 million by the end of the year. I Hope Sony does a bloodlust bundle with Bloodborne and Until Dawn.

That ~7:1 sales ratio between PS4 and Xb one MGSV is huge. Is that a bigger ratio than FFXIII? runs off to check...VGC says yes. Even with 13 weeks of FFXIII exclusivity in Japan FFXIII sales on 360 at week 1 globally was only a 4-and-a-bit:1 in favour of PS3. I guess in terms of install base comparisons it probably evens out. But still almost 7:1 is a whopping great difference that might be not be seen again, except perhaps with FFXV.

Mad Max seems to be doing better than it deserves.

I'm not sure what to make of Super Mario Maker. It was never going to be as big as a proper Super Mario game but I don't know whether a sub-500K start should be regarded as reasonable or somewhat disappointing. Possibly a lesson there for Nintendo about even more recycling of old IP vs. introducing something fresh and exciting like Splatoon. One thing is for sure though. It gave Wii U an impressive boost which is much larger %-wise than any game on PS4 or Xb one would achieve with that kind of opening week.

Despite obviously being sold at a heavily discounted price I am glad that The Order has passed 1 million by a reasonable margin, at least I hope VGC numbers are sufficiently accurate to be confident that 1 million has been reached. No doubt at all that Sony would have been hoping for a 2 million+ result from this game. But I think internal play testing showing a low-replay value, and a short campaign with no multiplayer should have moderated expectations into the 1 million range. Very sad that this is unlikely to resurrect plans for this to be a franchise. It's a world and story with a great deal of potential for sequels and pre-quels and spin offs. Probably qualifies this game for the biggest squandered opportunity of the generation.

This is surely the last possible holiday to push PS3 and 360 to reach 90 million. If they are lucky this final quarter of the year will give each console 1 million more sales. I doubt that's enough to get them across the 90 million mark before they exit the market permanently. Still, mid 80 millions is a great result for 360 and a decent result for PS3; considering what they inherited from the 6th gen.

Wow, moar chartz!!! Bravo Machina!!!

About numbers, is not even a new Mario game able to push Wii U above 100k?
