Look guys, I'm not being obstinante here. As much as I like the game, it's not because of the gameplay (which vastly overpromised and underdelivered). Ultimately, LKS is a Pikmin clone which deemphasizes puzzles and emphasizes story, aesthestics, combat, and exploration, but the combat is largely repetetive and not much deeper than Pikmin's (and omits to use even such a basic and obvious feature as pointer controls), and the world is unfortunately far too linear to depend on the exploration angle. You're ultimately left with a very charming game where a little boy's imagination has run wild on him and led to the bizzare and whimsical characters and places you encounter.
The Vita version does away with that. Unfortunately, it doesn't fix a single one of the original's shortcomings either, unless you're the one person on Earth who thought the original was too difficult. Instead, you're left with an average-quality Pikmin game and a fairly generic anime story. I can't really recommend it.
