Forums - Nintendo Discussion - N.L reviews a crap game called Perpetual Blast ( which I will buy next week), gives it a 3/10 - the Dev of the game then makes an account and pretty much agrees with the review 0_o - Now dev is here!

It looks like no man sky

Mod Warning - A lot of people seem to think this is trolling.  So don't troll.

Or maybe what no mans sky would look like if it was rendered in DOS.

Lol this made my day.

Spurge is either Brian Altano or Trinen guys. Don't fall for his charade!

Hi,

I'm the developer of Perpetual Blast.

1. I'm registered on Nintendo Life since 2011 so no, I didn't just "make an account" there to comment on the review.

2. What I pointed-out in my comments is what the review(er) mistakenly listed as gameplay/technical issues with the game, so I felt it was my responsibility to respond.

3. I don't agree but at the same time not arguing with the review(er) because reviews are just opinions - it's his opinion and I respect it.

4. The game is certainly not for everyone, I understand that, but at the same time I do not think it's garbage.
I tried making something different from the rest of the titles on the platform, that takes advantage of the Wii U gamepad as much as possible.

thanks

Thank you, appreciate the support.

Check out a gameplay video here (if you haven't already) to at least get an idea of what to expect.

(and once in-game, make sure to check button assignments/help by pressing "+")

Perhaps you should have made a game where you actually fight against enemies.  Enemy spacecraft that fires at you.  Shooting at boxes just seems like a mini game.  You could have pulled in the shmup crowd if you made an actual spacecraft fighter game.

Already looking for ways to make gameplay more interesting through an update.

Enemies and different weapons are being considered but nothing concrete to announce at the moment.

Unfortunately I can't disclose that sorry, but if you know the cost of the dev-kit + the profit sharing/distribution between dev and Nintendo, it's not hard to figure it out.

Realistically speaking I'm not expecting to break even from my first game though. (of course I would be pleasantly surprised if I did)

That's already a thing, it's called noctis IV.

To break even with this game you need to keep posting updates on miiverse. Tell us new things, etc.

Follow what I suggested on miiverse.

I believe the NL review stated there was no Miiverse integration with this game.

"There also isn't any Miiverse integration, so players have no hope of sharing the scores with the community at large. Instead your best time is displayed in the cockpit view."
