Forums - Website Topics - PS+ redeemable code forcing me to add credit card info

Hi guys,

I bought a One Month PS+ redeemable code from the GAME store, a bit ago. Tried to put it on the store, and when I get to the confirmation page, once I proceed, it automatically forces me to either add a Credit Card account or a Paypal in order to redeem the code.

Is there any way to avoid this?

i think you can buy one time a PSstore voucher card, like for example 10€ credit to approve your age. I am not entire sure of this tough

Worse yet, I tried downloading the 14-free trial and it still wanted me to add my credit card info.

i dont use paypal or creditcards, i simple use psn cards. You need at least to buy one of these PSN cards and redeem the code to your account then he will let you add any PS+ trials and free vouchers thats how it worked for me. You can even order them online from Amazon.

I am not 100% sure tough how it is in spain, because i always  thought it worked like this only in germany as protection against violent games.

If you have a japanese account you can try out the free 14 days without any credit card by the way, the PS+ from your japanese account will count as PS+ on any account on the same PS4 the accounts are set up.

Didn't realise that happened, it's so they want you to auto renew. I switch that off straight away for everything.

I used a 12 month Gold code for Live and didn't need cc info, but I can't buy a month (or more) EA access without having it, despite there bein funds in my wallet.

Edit: Just to add, try redeeming on the web store, or on a PS3. Crazy but that can work for these things.
