You have Australia, middle eastern, South Africa and South America. And believe me, South America buys a lot of consoles and games. I'm from Argentina and everyone here has a console, especially Sony. Nowadays Sony rules all over here, but in the 90s it was Nintendo.

I mean, come on, by what metric are they deducing that? Even if you ignore the world and look at the US, the XB1 isn't catching up. Where is all this fantasy coming from? It's a serious question because this isn't the only article to express this fantasy.

People can't work out math. Microsoft are not catching up if they are still being outsold. Even if they are outsold by 1 unit the gap widened. Microsofts sales may be picking up but until they're running faster than Sony they cannot overtake.

That's pretty good. It's always great to hear about video games growing in different regions.

Xbox 360 was much more popular than PS3 in the middle east. I think. 

Someone should tell those poor folk they can't play Halo 5 on PS4
