I loved season 1 but what the hell is happening in season 2? There is not much of an intrigue to the story and, yet, it's long-winded and overly-complicated.
Also, the atmosphere does not have the dread and mystery of the environment in the first season. The characters, apart from Colin Farell, have no nuance and all are unlikeable.
And it's hard to suspend disbelief when everything is just so stupid in this season. Everyone is somehow connected. Farell working with Vaughn, Kitsch previously working for a company that is involved in the conspiracy. McAdams's father ex-friends with the conspirators or whatever. Her sister was one of the girls going to the parties (or getting invites). And apparently, people in positions of power all have sex around each other in full view of around a hundred people. Also, Colin Farell's character can assault anyone without repercussions.
