No it isn't, its saying is that the main plan for the celebration.  Having a huge physical celebration could be their main plan for celebrating the anniversairy compared to releasing a spin off game.

Well, the journalist ask if Pokken will be the main thing of Pokémon in early 2016, and Smith said no, so that means there is something bigger. I guess.

You can't just make up a quote, if you quote something that exact thing has to be said in the article.
