It would be so bad for Nintendo's image to not release it on the Wii U. I don't see it skipping the Wii U. They would be betraying the people who bought a Wii U as they have made many announcements saying it is still coming to the Wii U. I'm pretty positive it will be cross gen though.

It will be released on both Nx and WiiU.

Obviously its still going to be on WiiU, it can still be a launch game for NX. NX portable in 2016 and NX micro home console in 2017. Giving WiiU its full 5 years.

I predict that the game will only release for Wii U. I'm not 100% convinced that NX is a home console.

I think it will be released in 2016 on Wii U and when NX comes out they may have it as a console launch digital download or something like that.

It being a failing console is the reason to skip the Wii U.

Make it a launch title to get the NX (assuming it is a console) of to a much better start compared to Wii U. That may give some 3rd parties confidece to release some games.

I am certain its going to come out on the Wii U.

It may be a cross generational game like twilight princess but its certainly coming to Wii U.

I just want them to call it Zelda U and make it exclusive to the NX entirely to confuse people. And knowing Nintendo's horrendous inability to properly name things, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they do that.
