The only way this game can do justice to the NFC East is to tie 5-5. Two field goals and two safeties, and zero points in OT.

Oh, and several cartfulls of injured players for good measure. Also during the 4th quarter, the NFL will announce that the Giants and Eagles have already lost their upcoming games next week.

Doing justice to the NFC East would mean a Cowboys win. Three teams at 5-7, one at 4-8 after 12 games.

Well maybe instead of giving anyone a win, they could credit Dallas with 1 loss, Washington with 3 losses, the Giants with 2 losses, and the Eagles with 8 losses. And remove all NFC East wins for the season and exchange them for losses. The winner of the NFC East could potentially get in the playoffs with 1 win :)

I don't want to see any of these teams in the playoffs to be honest. Like much of the 2015 NFL, it's just a painful slog of bad officiating, bad coaching, incompetence on offense, blown assignments on defense, injuries, countless game stoppage for whatever reasons, dropped passes, and just a total lack of 'cool' factor.

We now have a total of three or four above average teams in the entire league, about 7-8 'meh' teams, and the rest are garbage.

Ugh. Back to back idiocy from the coaches on both sides.

Coach "Well, they've been stuffing us when we run up the gut for short yardage all game"

Players "What's the playcall?"

Coach "Run it up the gut!"

Everyone "FAIL!"

Let the field goal contest continue.

Sigh.

Huh? I'm not understanding that logic, but I guess it's a matter of perspective.

You're saying the lack of super bad record teams is an indication of there not being as many garbage teams.

I'm saying the explanation of the same lack of super bad records is DIRECTLY because there are SO SO many garbage teams. When two garbage teams play each other, someone inevitably wins.

I can see for sure the other side of it though. It's just that from my perspective I've seen a whole lot of awful football this year.

Then of course you have the inconsistency with teams due to injury or just weirdness. Falcons starting 5-0 and tailspinning, etc.

And AGAIN with the stupid ass run up the middle. You IDIOTS.

Ugh, Dallas play calling is so horrible. You're running the ball horribly the whole game and you keep trying to run the ball. Smfh.

No doubt. I was LOLing at the announcer Gruden talking about how it was a good idea to run the ball, then they immediately get stuffed. It's like he has the memory of a goldfish, both teams have been crushing short yardage run stuffing all game. Washington had a 2nd and 1 earlier and got crammed both times, and Dallas has been stuffed about the same.

Hell, Cassel isn't THAT slow, they could have lined up the same but have him run to the outside or wait for Witten or Escobar to break to the goal line.

Bleh.

Witten is a soldier. I wouldn't be surprised if he was playing with cracked ribs right now from that brutal hit early in the game.

Dez with an almost-miracle catch there. Man, I can just see this game ending with yet another FG by whoever has the ball last.
