Forums - Politics Discussion - Dave Cameron is to give porn websites one last chance to produce an effective voluntary scheme for age-restricted controls on their sites or he will introduce legislation that could see them shut down

The UK goes overboard with censorship in certain things (not to say the U.S doesn't go overboard in others.) Seeing pornography as a teenager isn't going to hurt you.

this

the concept that a 16 or 17 year old is going to be particularly damaged or offended seeing pornographic material is just silly

the reality is that its not up to the porn websites to keep younger people away- it should be up to the PARENTS. if the parents are letting a 12 year old freely roam the internet or whatever then that's their decision, but it's also their problem if the kid looks at porn or whatever

again the answer to this sort of thing is PARENTING- not the concept that its up to the rest of the world to parent someone's kids.

I hear Her Majesty is a pretty nice girl...

well she is a tyrann, people like women with power and no moral

It's just a Beatles reference.

David Cameron should propose that people be more responsible as parents before thinking some law will get passed let alone have the effect he believes it would.
