Forums - Sony Discussion - Driveclub has sold through over 2 million units. (Goal reached before PS+ Edition)

That's pretty good. Didn't think it would sell that much given the problems. Although I don't get the comparison to Forza 5. Forza 5 came out when the X1 launched, and Driveclub came out when the PS4 had an install base of 12m.

Games launched with the console also can get a major boost just by being on the release...

Besides that it was bundled for free, entered those 3 games bundles for free after some months, etc...

On sales made they are pretty comparable, on quality and enjoyment I'll leave at it being personal taste.

I tried the game and I sucked really bad at it,so I deleted it. Could'nt even drive 5 seconds without crashing into the walls. I was thinking it would be a midnight club type game. lol

Do the hatchback race with the Golf or even the Bettle, it isn't THAAAAAAAAAAAT hard to start up... altough if you aren't into drivers I can understand your grief...

I could play either Gran Turismo or NFS quite good and most of the time hit the mark easily (unless on the challenges on GT that the gold took me some tries). On Driveclub a lot of the races took me like 3 times to get all the stars. 250h+- to have all the stars in the game+DLC.

So deserved! They deserve even more. I've become a fan of Paul and the crew behind this game (I already loved Evolution since Motorstorm tho). I hope those numbers are good in the eyes of Sony. I also hope they do another DriveClub, Motorstorm or maybe even new IP...

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

not so much of a flop after all. i still do wonder why let a lot of staff go at Evolution. 2 million sales isnt that bad honestly.

Probably because they failed to make a properly functional game at launch... Plus, letting employees go after a game is complete is fairly standard...

As far as I know no one at Playground Games was let go after they finished Horizon 2 but they are already working on the 3rd game.

Yep they better keep doing annual games to keep themselves employed.

Neither Forza or Horizon is a annual game.

Just because they alternate their inputs???

They are totally different games made by two different developers the only thing they share is a lot of their cars.
