Also:

So recently, Sony stated how they'd start a program to help Sony employee projects (games) get funded by crowdfunding.

Try again...

Have you even bothered to read the article in that link before making this pointless and erroneous thread?

They didn't, try again.

Oh sorry, I should have said "platform". Same thing!

The "games" part is what's wrong.

Very well, you got me there. First part was still correct though (but fixed anyway).

Yes, I fixed it. Now please stop with the grammar mistake's. I did read the article, I was just using gaming as an example.

Well, they could eventually abuse it. But it won't get them anywhere. Eventually, they would be branded as evil. And support would stop. And they have to go back to normal ways. And deal with hate.

i prefere crowfunding than never see a game i like again.... so yes but for old franchise where they not sure if this will sell at all.

I'm worried that you still don't quite understand this: This platform is not meant for games.

They didn't say it couldn't be for games though. And anyway did you read it, I fixed that part. Yeah, I saw the article, it didn't specify games. Doesn't mean it won't come to that. And look at E3 2015, where they told us it was from the kindness of their hearts, but turned out they where funding anyway. See the point?

It is not a grammar mistake.

You are using Sony as a negative example of crowdfunding games, go on listing their games and asking opinions based on a completely erroneous premise that Sony has announced something that they have not.

The platform is called First Flight, and if you have read the article as you say you have, you would see that your "games" are a watch, a remote controller and some sort of a DIY kit.

As you may know, Sony actually makes electronic devices (not very successfuully though) and this platform is used for that, and has absolutely nothing to do with games.

That is why I have a problem with your OP.

The Shenmue Kickstarter wasn't a Sony thing though and before you ask, for games like Shenmue, yes I find using crowdfunding to gauge interest very much acceptable.

Yes I have, since they've had all this crowdfunding stuff going on. If Microsoft did it, I sure as hell would give them just as much shit as I gave Sony. Don't say I have this "agenda" towards Sony. I defend them when I think they deserve it, but I also give them shit.
