Forums - Sony Discussion - UC4 has already blown away UC2 IMHO

The two biggest action sequences in UC2 have already been surpassed in one sequence (Train sequence and car chase). I think Uncharted 4 is going to take the crown with Druckmann at the helm. Beating UC2 is no walk in the park. All of the extended footage with the footage we've previously seen at E3 has already surpassed UC2 and Blows UC3 and one away. UC3, I believe was Naughty Dog trying their best to catch up with their own greatness and slightly missing the mark, but UC4 just nailed it with the extended footage. Good lord! At this point I'm convinced Naughty Dog owns the storybased third person genre and I am starting to really get curious about how much more amazing this game can get with Druckmann at the helm. The guy is just amazingly talented.

A bit premature don't you think? I'm sure it will be but still.

This game is almost undoubtedly going to be great, but I think you should wait until the game comes out before you say which is better.

I agree that its premature, but I stated the two scenes that made Uncharted 2 unforgetable were already surpassed, thats all. The footage utterly destroyed it in structure, gameplay and seemless fluidity from gameplay to cinematics. UC3 had drake fall out of a plane and was almost drowned on a ship in early sequences and I wasnt convinced that UC3 could hold a candle to UC2. This really did it for me...thats all.

Uncharted is about moments to me (outside of great gameplay). Uncharted 2 blew people away at the VGA with their sequences. The new scene did just that and then some. Thats all I am saying. I agree though. To tell you the truth, I was never as excited as I am now for Uncharted.

Yeah I feel you.  I'm really hoping this game does end up being better than UC2 though because that game was already pretty amazing.

Let it release man, let it release. xD

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I've played uncharted 1,2 and 3 and this is the first time I've actually seen it as abbreviated as UC. Maybe I'm late to the party about it being UC, but it doesn't even make sense. Uncharted isn't even a long name.

But yeah, it looks awesome and will want to finish off the series when it comes out. That is if this is the final game in the series. Which looking at metal gear it's probably not.

He does seem to have a bit of an open field to take the franchise in new directions now that Drake's story is officially done. Though it would feel like a completely different franchise if he ditched all of the characters. Personally I want to see Sully in his younger days before he met Nate. He's badass for an old dude, so he must have been a BAMF, with a heart of gold, in his younger days. But I suspect Druckmann wants more of a clean slate if this franchise is to continue and he'll want a whole new leading man/woman not related to Drake's story, but maybe with some support cast returning for continuity.

Ive been on VG Chartz since 2008. We used to use GeoW for Gears of War. Its just the way it was. We could've said U2...but UC2 was always the way we called it. We used Geow for Gears of War because God of War was already GOW.
