Nintendo will always get positive reaction from their partners.
I mean even WiiU's early reaction from developres was positive, don't read too much into it.

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]
The third-parties also "loved" the Wii U at first too. Nintendo talked all about their "unprecedented" third-party collaborations and even invited them on stage to talk all about their ports.
Don't get too happy.
I hope talking with third party developers means more than just getting third party games and that they actually talked about what type of hardware should they put in the NX with them. Make the next system be easy to port games from the PS5/Xbox Two and they'll be fine third-party wise
Sony is doing great third-party wise because they talked with developers about the hardware that went into the PS4 and made it have a very simple architecture and easy for developers to use. Nintendo should do the same with NX.
Who knows, maybe this this time things will be different.
I doubt Nintendo won't come out swinging - they can't afford to have another Wii U on their hands.
Btw, according to John Harker at neogaf.com, there were talks prior to E3.
I'll take that "positive reception" with a grain of salt. Remember, everyone was on board with the WiiU at first, and then quickly ran away when the boat showed any weakness. Nintendo needs to bring to the table a strong 1st party lineup the first year to attract hardware sales, that will attract 3rd parties.
Also, I hope they talked with Bethesda already. They made a big deal about the WiiU because they didn't talk with them before release. I hope they at least try to release something on the NX this time.
Thats good but its all about the commitment so we shall see how it turns out when it launches
