Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What if NX is a steam machine with a wii U chip built in?

I was wonderinf if NX is a steam machine with a wii U chip built in?

So Nintendo would keep suporting Wii U until the NX lifetime, so Zelda, metroid, and other promises would keep on wii U schedule.

They would integrate your NNID with your steam account, share credits, common(indie) library...

A gamepad included, that would stream steam machine games as well.

Imagine a place where you can play everything that there is on steam and on Wii U. Could be a solution for the nintendo situation for not having third party games on their systems.

Ok, but i can see the problems:

-Should be very expensive. Including a wii U and gamepad to the already high price of a steam machine would be prohibitive for a high penetration on the market. Even a gamepadless version for already wii U owners should be expensive.

-The partnership with Dena indicates other solution on the account system

-Steam machines are told not to be popular in any future, for what i read.

Then Steam wins the console wars immediately.

But it won't be, so they won't.

Nintendo would never do it. STEAM also wouldn't share their royalties with Nintendo I don't think.

The Wii U is far too much of a ugly mutated abomination for it to be reduced to a simple "chip".

I'm now filled with determination.

then its a 800$ console that ll flop.

Nah, it takes more than Steam for Nintendo to win against Sony. Nintendo must find again a way to bring people who usually don't play videogames to their console in order to sell more consoles than Sony.

Honestly, I think Micro has higher chances of winning a console generation against Sony than Nintendo by the current look of things.

PC gamers like to play in their PCs and that is why I never saw the point of Steamboxes.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

That sounds like it would flop.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Doesn't sound like it would work very well, if you ask me...
