JEMC said: The results vary a little from site to site, but they show the same pattern: 980Ti is better in 1080 and 1440p, period. In 4K the situation is not so clear and Fury X wins in some games, but not by much. Overall, if anyone is in the market for a high end card, the 980Ti is their best option unless cooling or physical space are a problem. |
Looking by how much those specs are above 980Ti, I'm not sure what is the problem with Fury X, is it drivers or not enough ROPs (those 64 look really anemic for such a card). Or it's just that nVidia has really supperior architecture with Maxwell. Anyway, bit dissapointing, was hoping for something that would shake prices a bit.

I'm not sure it's about drivers. Yes, Fiji is new but it's still based on GCN and it's architecture is not much different than the one from the Tonga.
It could be that the 4GB are limiting the potential of the card, but unless AMD launches a 8GB version next year we won't know for sure.
Another review: http://hardocp.com/article/2015/06/24/amd_radeon_r9_fury_x_video_card_review#.VYrR8EZGQ0h Their apples-to-apples comparison graphs are very telling, 980Ti dominates.
Please excuse my bad English.
