Whys everyone bashing this game now? This game was hyped to the heavens by the Nintendo fanbase, before and after release.

If you think that, then you haven't been paying attention.

The praise that most people gave to it was more along the lines of it showing promise, and the main source of that promise was the stuff that the U-pad enabled.

On PS4 and XBO, it'll be nothing more than a lacklustre horror title, because its few promising features won't work very well on PS4 or XBO.

And so, the only way to really make it viable is to overhaul the entire game... at which point one starts to ask whether or not the costs of the overhaul will be justified by the sales, since it's going to be competing against some pretty big names in the field.

Do they seriously think this game will sell? It didn't sell poorly because it was on the Wii U; it sold poorly because it looked and sounded like shovelware.

Well, this is new.

Read.

No, he's at least partially right.  I remember a mini-firestorm here because a few websites gave it a low score and many fans called them on it, saying that they didn't know how to play survival horror or understand the purpose of the game.

Eh. Anyone can tell it won't be good, especially without the use of the gamepad, that's the only things it really had going for it.

That was because they were rating it TOO low. GameSpot gave it a 45 (by Metacritic's scaling). The Metacritic average is 77 (user average is 7.6). Considering the skewed rating system that is used, 77 is passable, 90 is good, and 45 is junk. Nobody sensible said that ZombiU was junk, but few would have called it exceptional. Those that gave it particularly high ratings just happened to like it a lot. Those that gave it particularly low ratings, on the other hand, basically complained that it wasn't like modern Resident Evil - hence the complaints about them not knowing how to play it.

This is from february this year:

It was confirmed soon after that the project in question was a port/rework of a game “for an absolute top notch publisher.”

While not related, Crago also confirmed that Tantalus is taking a Wii U title and porting it to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Game will come out this year. That much has been said.  The only question is when it'll come to PS4 and PC if not this year?

At least more people will experience a former U exclusive...

It could be argued that those more people still won't experience ZombiU.

Yeah, it's the same classification as the original ZombiU and the same file number:

Well... hopefully there's some graphical overhaul. But, i don't think i am gonna buy this game, as i wasn't really found of the game when it came out.
