AC hasn't much hype this year and it doesn't help that Sony has more important deals this year with CoD and Battlefield so that Sony doesn't really push AC like they did the other years they had the deal and MS lost the deal they only had last year so that MS does also not help to sell the game.

I think it was a mistake for Sony to take the marketing rights for AC. They wasted their money on it. COD and Battlefront were enough.

That would be going the extra mile... Gotta be easy as fudge by now given the OS alone has 47x as much memory as the original Xbox. I doubt it would happen as that would mean paying Nvidia more royalties...but they did for 90+ million 360s.

Got my Gears of War Ultimate all pre-loaded all 44GB of it, Just got to wait now and clear out a few more games in my backlog then I'm ready for it!

I get the feeling this is fake. It just doesn't make sense to me. MS gets Blu-Ray drives in bulk for like $10 ea, dropping it doesn't save them much money at all, not enough to offer the mini at a low enough price point to make it enticing to gamers. 1/3 the size also sounds unlikely to me, even if it uses the new XB1 chipset AMD was developing that uses 33% less power I can't see them making a Mini any smaller than half the size of the current XB1. And on top of all that, MS would have to contend with pissing off GameStop, Gamefly, etc., as well as gamers fears about the disc-drive XB1 model eventually being dropped in favor of an all digital future. Only way I could see this happening is if MS plans to offer this disc-less XB1 Mini at a subsidized price as a DVR alternative through cable and satellite companies once DVR functionality hits next year.

It's pretty telling that Tom Warren, who is known for being pretty reliable with MS leaks, has heard nothing about the XB1 Mini part of this leak, though he did confirm the Lumia, Surface, and Fitness Band stuff from the leak.

I'm not saying this rumor is true or not. I'm just replying to the first part of your post.

Disc-less Xbox means that all the games will be bought digitally, which means Microsoft is the one selling them not retailers.

Usually service providers take 30% of each item sold digitally.

Even if the console owner buy one "$60 game" that means Microsoft is getting ~20$ extra per console. We know that people buy more than one game. Microsoft could sell this console for $199.99 and still be profitable.

If Microsoft really going to release this console, they should have a subscription option where you pay $99 once you get the console and $15 monthly for two years. You get free Xbox Live during these two years and EA access or similar service from Microsoft.
