XBOX One would be my pick. XBOX 720 would just fuel the resolution debate even more "it's called 720 cause it only does 720P" which we all know is not true, but that is the perception it would have given off.

Lmao that would have been fun.

I guess this is why its named Xbox one, instead.

"Witcher 3 runs at 1080p ONLY in cutscenes and the title screen"

so troll :P

Not a big fan of either, but the 360 - 720 - 1480 series would have got out of hand. They did need to make a change but numbering them may not have been the best option, maybe naming them as that hasn't been done by a manufacturer in a while.

I'll have to admit that Xbox One does sound better than Xbox 720, but the name itself is quite unusual, unless they were following for the naming convention of several of heir products (OneDrive, OneNote). My real question is with which name are they going to follow it.

It think it should have been called "The new Xbox"

Honestly, I think One is a better name than 720.

That's not saying much though, since I personally think that both names are pretty lame.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Next Xbox is called "Xbox Two".... anyone agree?

should have just went to the standard. XBOX Three

Whats wrong with just calling it XBOX3
