This is the only review of TLOU you should watch.

TLOU looks different from what I remember...

Lol, forgot I had that still copied. Luckily it wasn't something else considering what I've been watching lately LOL.

Edited it now with the correct video.

Here you go, enjoy!

Very overrated game, but still a good game. The AI in this game is terrible.

The game isn't special either, been there and done that. I don't understand all the 10/10 scores.

I got that beat:

Well they must have done something good to win the most GOTY awards in history...

The problem often times is that the gaming community often times overhype great games and assign terms like GOTG which actually overshadows the game itself. Would this thread even exist if the game had been considered great but not GOTG?

Btw, can any game EVER, be considered GOTG? Isn't the contrasts to large between genres that it is nigh on impossible to claim?

I haven't played TLOU much so I wont go into the merits of it, but I actually think we all would have judged it more fairly if it hadn't been assigned such a term from the beginning.

tc aren't aiming to be fun, they are aiming to be engaging or moving. Fun is a very specific emotion and certainly not something all games or other media are aiming for. Its a very limited palate...if that is all you are aiming for, you lose virtually everything in the Horror/Drama/Thriller genres. This could be a discussion about the definition of fun though, so I want to make it clear that fun is not synonymous with enjoyment.

Pretty much this: Also  im going to add this emmmm review (?) about this UNfun game that i really adore

Watching my friend play it all the way through from start to finish I'd say it was a great game but it's by no means perfect, no game really is, that being said it's not really bad or anything but I don't believe it was solid 10/10 material, something of a 9.5.

As for the AI, it's kind of dumb at times. In one occasion, a soldier saw me choking one of his buddies, and he runs back and takes cover. This action gave me enough time to sneak into the adjacent room, go around and get behind him, giving me the chance to kill him.

Enemy AI gets incredibly strange when you have an AI parter. I've had situations where my AI partner would walk into the enemy and push them aside and they wouldn't even notice. While it would be incredibly annoying if your stupid AI could get you caught, I wish ND had found a more elegant solution.

Yeah, that would have been annoying and possibly game-breaking. I remember in the church area, where all the clickers are, Elle and Bill would run next to the clickers, and they wouldn't even notice. I panicked the first time that happened and ran after them only to be killed a few seconds later.

Oh man, you are a bold man for making this thread, but props to you for your guts. ; )

I agree too. I played it to the end, and thought it was a solidly made game, but I thought it was alright. It`s well made with great settings and character models. The story is good too, but nothing new or too special. Certain parts were sad, but predictable, and I couldn`t find myself being too sad in the beginning. When you know they girl is not in the main game, it`s safe to assume she`ll meet a terrible fate. I guess it felt too forced for me. It does have some good interesting mechanics though. The gameplay is good too, but doesn`t feel new or revolutionary.

Good game, but I don`t think it`s the best. I actually preferred The Walking Dead Season 1 over The Last of Us.

Yeah I didn't feel sad for the little girl as well, but it did set the tone of the game pretty well.

Yeah.... That I can completely agree on. : )

Okay I would like to hear some opinions on what games of recent times deserve perfect scores, outside of TLoU. A lot of you don't believe the game deserves the credit it got. So I really want to know what some of you think about other games who should have gotten the spotlight over this game.
