Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Mario Kart Producer Is Now In Charge Of Nintendo’s Mobile Game Development

I think this is mostly good news. They got an experienced and good producer to oversee the mobile games which can only be a good thing. At the same time they letting someone else try their hands on Mario Kart - but just not anyone; they'll of course promote someone else with a ton of experience and skill.

This is good news. Until proven otherwise ^^

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Does everyone think he will never have input on MK games anymore?

Shouldn't people be glad a good dev is in charge of mobile?

Should people be glad a good developer is being wasted on the mobile ghetto?

Remember when the Zelda games stopped being good because Miyamoto created Wii Music and had mo input on Zelda anymore?

No?

You mean that didnt happen at all?

Well how about that.

It's 2015 and mobile is still the gamer boogeyman for some reason.

Great news if you ask me, I doubt he's the only one responsible for the quality of Mario Kart titles and its not like your taking a visionary (Kojima) away from a creative franchise (MGS), Mario Kart has played safely within the same mold for decades.

Correct choice. His last MK game showed that he needed a change.

Edit: BTW, too much for those saying that Nintendo won't develop the mobile games

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

vroom vroom! That Mobile Money incoming!

If it does come in,  it will be going back into mobile for the forseable future-

dedicated console assets (humanand capital) will be going into mobile -  if mobile starts to rake in the cash then more dedicated assets  will be put inot mobile

I you own Nintendo stock success in  mobile is prob a good thing- maybe a great thing-  if you just really love their dedicated gaming consoles then it prob won t be too good of news

It will be interesting to see what happens-  I think Nintendo CAN be extremely succesful in mobile but i m not sure Iwata and Nintendo under Iwata can move quickly enough or comit quick enough in any particular direction to leverage the potential
