Nintendomination.. just the way I like it. Now I can only hope that the same can be said for hardware.

RIP Xenoblade. Hopefully it does better over here.

pretty much where everyone expected it to be in the ranking.  We just have to wait for the numbers.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Eh at least wait for the numbers to say RIP.

Tsutaya doesn't include bundles btw.

What exactly were you expecting?  According to the monthly data, Chronicles X is just below the 3Dmake.  The 3Dmake sold about 70k not including this week, so probably about 75K give or take 2000 (more likely take).  So, Chronicles sold about 72K or so, without counting bundles, which is in line with what the first one sold. Not great, but not bad factoring in install bases and yada yada.

RIP? Bruh :'-(

If this is reflected in the MC / Famitsu sales then Japan needs to be ashamed of itself for only buying XCX into 4th place. Though if the claims of a total sell out are true then at least one can claim that it would have been #1 if more units had shipped. Of course that brings up a whole lot of different criticisms that can be directed Nintendo's way.

Gahd! all the hype about XCX and it's beaten by a couple of games I've never heard of. Not that that's saying much I suppose since I don't generally keep myself abreast of what's coming to Nintendo systems in general, and even less in Japan.

Nothing worth commenting on otherwise, except I suppose any game with Dragon Quest in the title seems like it will automatically sell well.

Man, is Dragon Quest, the game was doing better than Xeno on Comg. But Tatsuya doesn´t count bundles, and the Xeno bundle sold out.

There is your problem right there. Even though i would of thought it get 2nd awhile back, the games that beat it are PDZ (a game thats huge, first one being a 500k+ seller FW), and the other is Dragon Quest!

I don't know why people seem to have expected XCX to beat Dragon Quest and freaking Puzzles & Dragons. Those are MASSIVE franchises in Japan, XCX is still young. And Xenoblade has been more popular in west from the start.
