Maybe they cut out the back touchscreen? It's not particularly useful.
If it comes with a SD card port, I think I just might trade my first gen Vita for this new one. It is going to be hard to do coz I love the oled. :(
It really needs new software not new hardware. Doubt it will have any sort of impact outside of Japan
I will say what the other guy on GAF said cause it's what i believe too. "What about trademarking some new games ?"

It's a touchpad, though I know you know that.
It's useful and necessary for some games, Ratchet Trilogy uses it for strafing and it works very well once you're used to it. Doubt it costs much to manufacture either.
Would be a mistake to get rid of it now as it would lose compatibility with certain titles but if it wasn't for that it wouldn't be missed.
I was planning on importing a khaki green/black 2000, but if the 3000 indeed has an SD card slot, then I'll get this one instead. I also hope that Sony doesn't gimp on the screen technology. It doesn't have to be OLED, but as long as the screen has good color production, it's fine.
SD card slot would make a lot of sense. As Sony seem to have stopped making memory cards in Europe. The biggest you can generally get now is like 8GB from the main retailers if you're lucky.
Not seen 32gb kicking around for a while and now even 16gb are alot less common.
£99.99 price point would then be the icing on the cake to try retool as the young friendly device SCEE have clearly been gearing up for this last 12 months.
I am actually pretty happy with the hardware they have now, I would be more interested in some more game support rather than a hardware revision. Hardware is not the vitas problem...

That would really piss me off since I've already invested in a VITA and then a Playstation TV.
