How would I best play Persona 3? I have a PS4, PS3, Vita, and Vita TV. I want to be able to play the best version, on my TV, with either a Dual shock 4, or a PS3 controller. Any way I can play the game that satisfies those three conditions with the equipment stated above?

And thanks for heads up on Star Ocean.

That's actually quite tough. I'm not quite sure about backwards compatibility on the PS3(I never had to worry about it because I have a PS2), but P3 is not worth it unless you play FES.

FES is available as a PS2 classic for PS3, runs great!

Good to know. And that should answer the question as well.

Vita/Vita TV only have Persona 3 Portable.  Which I've heard bad things.

It's not on PS4, so get it on PS3.  It's available for 10$.

I have no idea if the DS4 controller works for the game, but DS3 of course works.  I'd try the DS4 just to see.

P3P apparently added a female protaganist storyline with new scenes and such, as well as the ability to control your party members(praise the sun!), but it doesn't have the answer, and it is more of a point-and-click adventure.

FFX is the best JRPG I've ever played (FFVII/IX too, they're tied xDD). Amazing plot, characters and nice combat system. I found myself spending a lot of time in the post-game, something I don't usually do, but I was so inmersed in the world that I couldn't stop hahaha. But I don't like FFX-2 a lot. It's a weak sequel to an amazing game. Not a bad game, but not great either.

I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles (New 3DS), and it's massive. I'm 20 hours in the game, and I don't wanna do the main quests because I love exploring the world, and solving the NPCs problems (it has a great affinity system, you can see how the relationship between NPCs evolve while you're helping them). It has potential, maybe, when I finish it, it can be in the top with the FFs.

You sure about the new scenes? I heard P3P removed all of the cutscenes.

Well I actually haven't playede P3P, so I'm not exactly sure, but I've read some things on it, like new dialogue for being a female, and apparently they go to Inaba at one point.

So if I were to play Persona 3, I could play it on my PS3 through a DS3 (or in my case a turbo'ed 360 controller). Sounds good to me.

Right now I'm torn between FF X, which a lot of people are saying to play and Persona 3.

I'm probably going against Xenoblade just because it's well over 150 hours to beat it. I want to beat something within a good time. I managed to no life Persona 4 two times in like 3 weeks, so it does depend on the game. Thanks for all the suggestions so far!

It's not going to take that long unless you do a lot of side-quests. 70-100 hours is what you should epect if you played it normally. Still pretty long, of course.

Simple solution: buy a 2nd TV. Use your PS3 on 1 TV for Persona 3 and your PS4 on the other for FFX. Play both games simultaneously.

They are both turnbased so it's theoretically possible

And it's also recommended for Persona 3 to be doing something else while playing. Don't want to get bored.

Final Fantasy!!

I loved Final Fantasy X and I'm really enjoying Persona 3, after I got over some of problems.

Either choice would be great.
