Forums - General Discussion - So every smartphone maker has copied the Xperia Z

2013: Xperia Z comes out with the power button on the side and every Xperia after it

2015: Apple, Samsung, HTC, Chinese phones all have the power button on the side.

What if Sony had patented it?

++water proof phones

Around the Network

But the power button on the Xperia Z had an odd shape.
More phones are waterproof now though and that was a feature which made the Xperia Z popular.

Uhm.. the original galaxy S from 2010 had a side power button... And every galaxy after that

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

It is a natural result, as smartphones are getting bigger. The power button would be out of reach if it was on top nowadays.
The Chinese companies do seem to copy Sony smartphones Omni-balaned premium design.
