Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft Taking New Direction for E3 2015

In a recent Inner Circle podcast, Microsoft Marketing Executive Aaron Greenberg teased a little of what we can expect from Microsoft at E3 2015:

"Expect us to talk a lot about games. And if you're an Xbox owner, I think you're going to leave really, really, really happy in the investment you made. And if you're undecided, we hope that you will look at what we deliver on games and want to buy an Xbox."

He also teased a new direction, but didn't go into details:

"We have some ideas to do some things different at E3 this year that we haven't done before. I think we're going to take a little bit of a different approach to E3 this year. But I feel really good about it. It's been really exciting."

Greenberg also said that Microsoft has been making the Xbox One better month by month:

"We've just been month after month delivering what's been high on people's lists, and we're going to continue to do that," he added. "The team has a long list of things that they're still working on as well. Hopefully people that buy an Xbox One realize it gets better every month, and a year from now, the product that they have is going to be substantially better.

That's our commitment; to continue to innovate and continue to make it better."

Interested to see what they plan on for the flow of the conference. If they decide to take a new direction, I'm interested to see what that is. I enjoyed their format last year though.

Lock if posted already.

Nintendo gets copied, again.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

No more musical guests? lol

Well they finally figured out customers who buy a gaming console actually want games, better late then never.

I smell some great money hatting coming our way, should be fun.

@Bolded: They showed off games last year at E3... like literally game after game. Where are these no games notion?

@italicized: Same! Can't wait for the reactions

They way they are talking is as if they did nothing last time around, i guess the notion comes from them.

Yep the shit slinging will be hilarious, im sure also the $hat will be dorned by the other side to fueling it all.

i watched lasts years conference after the fact as in individual clips but is was pretty good no? too many CGI announcements perhaps but good i thought.

I don't think they will be copying Nintendo, but for Microsoft a fresh approach could mean anything so we will see.

Wish they would have eased up on the CGI as well. I mean Liked how Susnet Overdrive last year had CGI and then the cut to gameplay, disregarding personal preference, I liked how that was shown.

Would also like less emphasis on 3rd party multiplats, but I think that's just the nature of the beast, unless you're Nintendo.
