Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Aaron Greenberg on ICXM Podcast: Halo 5, Forza 6, upcoming Rare games, and much more!

Aaron Greenberg appeared on The Inner Circle Podcast today and revealed many new details about Microsoft's plans for the Xbox One. He talked about many games and developers including Forza Motorsport 6, Sling Television, Rare, Twisted Pixel, and Halo 5: Guardians. The interview was informative and fans will be really excited about what the future holds.

Forza Franchise

Aaron started off by confirming that Forza Motorsport 6 will ship this year. While no exact release date was given, Greenberg did say that Forza was an annualized franchise from this point on. There was some confusion about the release date of Forza 6 when it was first announced. Many assumed it would come out in 2016. Racing fans will be pleased that they will get to experience a new title every year from now on.

Rare Games

While discussing different studios, Aaron said that "Rare has multiple projects in development but one is in the process of being revealed". Everyone thought that Rare was only working on one new game but it appears that they are making many more. This is exciting because the studio always produces quality titles but now they have the freedom to make something that harkens back to their legacy. We hope to see new franchises and experiences as well as some revivals.

Twisted Pixel

Twisted Pixel, the developers behind The Gunstringer, 'Splosion Man, and Ms. Splosion Man are also making a new game. There was a rumor that Twisted Pixel were working with another studio on a collaborative project but Greenberg denied this was true. He then confirmed that they were making something else on their own. We can't wait for the next quirky title for the studio!

Halo 5: Guardians

Lastly, Aaron shared his experience with the latest build of Halo 5: Guardians. He said, "343 Industries are innovating in ways that our jaws are dropping". The game is innovative on a technical level as well as a storytelling front. Bonnie Ross, the head of 343 Industries, promised to use the cloud and other techniques to make the title the best it could be. Hopefully more details about the technical aspect of development will be revealed at E3 this year. Greenberg concluded by saying that "Halo 5 is the closest thing to playing in a real movie". The beta of Halo 5: Guardians was incredible, even graphically, and we can't imagine how good it looks and plays now. From the looks of it the campaign will be a truly spectacular experience. The game is also confirmed to be running at 60 FPS. According to 343 Industries, Halo 5: Guardians is bigger than Halo 4 when it comes to the content and scope of the game.

Aaron talked about many more items in the podcast and you should listen to it for other interesting pieces of news. Be sure to check out other interviews by The Inner Circle team too. Stayed tuned to ICXM for the latest information on Microsoft and Xbox.
