I'm so sorry but I have to say it yet again. What's the difference between The Order and Uncharted/Last Of Us ?

One is hated for being a linear, story driven, "See do not touch" , Uninteractive, QTE infested game, with pretty graphics.

I'm not defending The Order, I knew i wouldn't like it because of it's focus on linearity and graphics. but whats so different between these two? loved developers getting a free pass?

Well the last of us had a better story(iguess), was longer and had a multiplayer

So I played The Order for a bit earlier. Good so far, but I can certainly see why people would complain. You need to go in knowing it's very cinematic and you'd have to be okay with that.

Don't understand the complaints about the shooting parts though. The guns feel good and my only complaint with the controls is the cover system, which can be a bit wonky in faster paced bits.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

When there is shooting, it is somehow like Gears of Wars. But QTEs and cutscenes took a lot off the actual gameplay.

Funny how when these guys do the same thing but with God of war it's not taking from the gameplay.  I've just reached the London underground and it's fucking exceptional so far. It will be a bad then when this type of game goes extinct.

this what is killing me. people have been crying about all the FPS games and when someone does something besides an FPS people go crazy because "this is not what we want games to become"

The more variety we have in gaming experiances the better gaming will be.

psn- tokila

Because the only alternative to first person shooters are generic cinematic "games" you play for a few hours and retail for $60.

It's funny to see people ignore all the other cinematic games that have come down the pipe recently that didn't get shit on and just complain that The Order is being targeted solely because it's "different". It's not "different". It's another cinematic game focusing more on story and presentation than gameplay. Unfortunately unlike games such as Walking Dead or Last of Us, The Order got its narrative wrong and crossed a line those other games did not when it comes to bang for your buck.

that trailer.. why is it that developers these days show off games like theyre movies? i mean, if i wanted to go see a movie, id go see a movie. i dont see the appeal of presenting a game the way they did in this trailer.

Uhhhhh... God of War has QTEs for finishers, but you spend about 90% of the game in full control of Kratos.
