The estimates were pretty much spot on, though a bit off for XB1 due to substantial reduction in price. Now, given the end of 2014 actual sales, below are the 2015 estimates, with updated data and parameters.

Summary, as end of 2015,

PS4 : 32.6 - 35.1 million

XB1 : 18.2 - 20.6 million
